The king often entered a city in "triumph" upon
a "car" pulled by many horses. Why shouldn't
the Comedia dell'Arte figures enter a city in
trumph? At least the figures of the Commedia
dell'Arte were recognized, while the people
coudn't tell the difference between the king
and a turkey.
